From Invisible to Full of Personality: A New Brand Identity

The Challenge

JAM People Consulting had been operating for several years on a logo designed hastily at launch, with a visual identity that had never evolved alongside the business.

Their work sits at executive level, so the brand needed to convey that authority, while still showing personality behind it through colour and character.

With a period of growth ahead, new website, sales collateral and industry presence, they needed a brand that could hold its own in a competitive market and communicate the quality of their work at a glance.

Your designs and what you we able to offer in terms of assets that were of great value to us - logos, PowerPoint presentation, social media assets - we’ve used them SO MUCH!
— Jane Arthur-McGuire, JAM People Consulting

The Approach

We began with a brand discovery session to get under the skin of the business: I asked who they’re talking to, what they stand for and where they’re headed.

This involved a strategy document created by myself that asked about the company values and graphic design they currently had. We also discussed:

  • Brand discovery covering the company positioning, values and target audience

  • Competitor and sector audit

  • Logo concepts to be developed across two rounds of refinement

  • Imagery and social media template suggestions

The Results

The rebrand launched inline with the newly designed website and commissioned photoshoot. I had recommended associate photographers who I work with.

The new identity was rolled out across their website, email signatures, social media and print collateral.

  • Comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all future touch points

  • Logo delivered in various file formats

  • Full identity system: colour palette, typography hierarchy, iconography style

  • Social media templates created with the new brand set up in Canva - easily accessible for the whole team to use.
